Orthodontics

At Optimal Dental Care, we believe every smile is unique, which is why there is no one-size-fits-all approach to orthodontic treatment. We offer a range of solutions, including Invisalign®, traditional braces, and removable appliances, to help patients of all ages achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Early assessment in children allows us to identify developing jaw and bite problems and, where appropriate, provide interceptive treatment that may reduce the need for more complex orthodontic treatment later in life. For adults, we create personalised treatment plans to straighten teeth and improve both function and aesthetics.

As a trusted general dental practice, we provide comprehensive dental care, from preventive and cosmetic dentistry to orthodontic treatment, helping you achieve and maintain a healthy smile for years to come.

    Braces

Traditional braces are small metal or porcelain brackets that are bonded to the front or back surface of your teeth. These brackets are then bound by a flexible wire to guide where we want your teeth to go. The typical treatment time for braces is 2 to 4 years depending on the amount of movement but can vary from patient to patient.

Braces are suited for patients of all ages .

    Invisalign

As an accredited Invisalign® provider since 2006, Optimal Dental Care has helped many patients achieve straighter, more confident smiles. Using advanced digital scanning technology, we can create a detailed 3D scan of your teeth without the need for traditional impressions. With our in-house dental imaging, including OPG X-rays, we can complete the necessary assessments and develop a personalised treatment plan for your smile.

Invisalign® offers a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional braces, with predictable results when worn as recommended.

    Plates and Appliances

Orthodontic treatment can involve two phases. Phase I treatment focuses on identifying and managing early jaw development issues, bite problems, and habits such as thumb sucking or mouth breathing. Depending on the child’s needs, treatment may involve monitoring, dental expanders, removable plates, or collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Early assessment, particularly around 6 to 8 years of age when adult teeth begin to emerge, allows us to guide healthy jaw development and improve future orthodontic outcomes. At Optimal Dental Care, we take a holistic approach to create personalised treatment plans that support long-term oral health.
